Sera is a thinking tool. It helps you get everything swirling in your head out onto the page — tasks, worries, ideas, things you've been putting off — and then works through it with you, step by step.
It's not a to-do list app. It's not a productivity system. It's a structured way to externalise your thinking when there's too much of it happening at once, so you can see what's actually there and work out what to do next.
Sera is particularly useful for people with ADHD or neurodivergent brains, people going through busy or complex periods, and anyone who sometimes finds it hard to know where to start.
Anyone who has a lot on their plate and finds it hard to see the wood for the trees. Sera was built with ADHD and neurodivergent brains in mind, but the underlying approach works for anyone dealing with complexity — whether that's a busy job, family life, a big life transition, or just one of those weeks where everything lands at once.
You don't need to feel "overwhelmed" to use it. Sera is just as useful as a regular reset — a way to clear your head and get oriented — as it is in a moment of crisis.
No. Sera is a practical thinking and organising tool. It is not therapy, counselling, or any form of clinical support. It does not give advice on emotional or mental health matters — it simply holds space for what you're carrying and offers a few quiet questions to sit with.
If you're struggling with your mental health, please reach out to appropriate support:

The content of your brain dump is never stored by us. What you type goes from your screen to the AI, your sorted output comes back, and that's it. We don't save it, log it, or read it.
The only data we store for subscribers is your email address, subscription status, and session count (a number — not the content). Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
A full session has seven steps:
- Input — two boxes: what's on your plate (tasks, jobs) and what's on your mind (thoughts, worries, feelings). Fill in whichever feels relevant — you don't have to use both.
- Life areas — everything sorted into columns by area of your life. You can edit, move, and add items.
- Projects — anything that looks like a bigger multi-step project gets flagged. You decide what to do with it.
- What you can control — tasks sorted into: do now, waiting on something, future list, and not in your control. Move anything you disagree with.
- What's on your mind — your thoughts and feelings displayed, with a few quiet coaching questions to sit with if useful. No advice given.
- Quick wins — things you can do in under 20 minutes, with time estimates.
- Everything else — the rest of your tasks in suggested priority order. Reorder, edit, and add to them.
At the end you can download your full sorted list as a file or copy it to your clipboard.
Usually between 10 and 25 minutes for a full session, depending on how much you have to process and how long you spend reviewing and editing each step. The brain dump itself takes most people 3–5 minutes. The processing steps are quick — a few seconds each. The review and editing is where you'll spend the most time, and that's intentional.
You can move through it as quickly or slowly as you need.
Yes — at every step. Sera sorts things as a starting point, not a final answer. You know your situation better than any AI does.
You can edit item text by clicking on it, move items between categories using the dropdown on each card, reorder your task list using the up and down arrows, add new items at any stage, and remove anything that shouldn't be there.
At the end of your session you'll have two options:
- Download as a file — saves a formatted HTML file to your device. To open it, drag the file into any browser window. It'll look exactly like the on-screen output with all your sections and labels preserved.
- Copy to clipboard — copies everything as structured text, ready to paste into Notion, Apple Notes, or wherever you work.
Important: Sera does not save your session automatically. If you close the browser without downloading or copying, your list will be gone. Make sure to save it before you finish.
No — not at all. The coaching questions in the "What's on your mind" step are there if they're useful, not because you're expected to answer them. Some people find it helpful to just read them and sit with them privately. Others skip straight past. Either is completely fine.
Sera will never ask you to type an answer to a coaching question.
If your organisation has set up Sera for their team, you'll have been given a code (it looks like SERA-XXXX-XXXX). When you open the tool, you'll see a link that says "Using Sera through your organisation? Enter your code" — click it, enter your code, and you're good to go. Each time you complete a session, one credit is drawn from your organisation's account.
Your session content is completely private — your organisation will never see what you've written. The only data your organisation can see is anonymised and aggregated: how many sessions have been used, and which life areas came up most across the team. No names, no details.
Go to sera.moderaristudio.com/organisations and choose a credit bundle. Pay by card and your unique organisation code will arrive by email within minutes. Share the code with your team however works best — email, Slack, your intranet. No app to install, no IT sign-off needed.
You can track usage and credits on your organisation dashboard. Log in with your work email and we'll send you a magic link.
Prefer to pay by invoice? Email hello@moderaristudio.com.
No — never. Your session content is completely private. Sera is built so that no one — not your HR team, not your manager, not Sera itself — can read what you write. The only data your organisation sees is anonymised and aggregated: total sessions used, and which life areas came up most across the team as a whole. No names, no individual data, no session content.
No — you get one free session without any account or email address. Just open the tool and start.
If you want to continue beyond your free session, you'll need to create an account as part of subscribing. This just requires your email address — no password needed.
Using Sera through your organisation? You don't need a personal subscription or account — just enter your organisation code when prompted in the tool. Your organisation's credits cover your sessions.
Sera uses magic link login — there's no password to remember. Here's how it works:
- Click Log in in the top right corner of the tool
- Enter your email address and tick the consent boxes
- Click Send login link
- Check your email inbox for a message from Sera
- Click the link in the email — you're in
Once logged in, your session stays active in the browser so you won't need to log in again each time — unless you clear your browser data or switch devices.
A few things to try:
- Check your spam or junk folder — the email comes from hello@moderaristudio.com and may have been filtered
- Wait a minute or two — email can occasionally be slow
- Go back to the login screen and request a new link — make sure you're using the same email address you signed up with
- If none of the above works, get in touch and we'll sort it
Yes. You can use Sera on any device with a browser — desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. Just go to the Sera URL, log in with your email, and your subscription will be recognised.
Note that your session within the tool isn't synced between devices — if you start a session on your laptop, you can't continue it on your phone. But your account and subscription work everywhere.
After your free session, Sera will show you the subscription screen. Here's how to subscribe:
- Click Try it free first on the landing page, or use your free session in the tool
- When prompted, click Join as founder member
- You'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout page — enter your payment details there
- After payment, you'll be redirected back to Sera with full access
- Log in with your email to access your subscription on any device
Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store them.
One free session — no account or payment needed.
£3.99 per session — pay as you go, no subscription needed.
£19.99 per year — annual subscription including 30 sessions per year. This is our founder rate and may change for new subscribers in future.
You can cancel at any time — see below for how.
Annual subscribers get 30 sessions per year. This resets on your subscription anniversary date. Single session buyers get one session per purchase.
At one session a day that's more than enough. The limit exists to keep Sera sustainable and affordable — each session uses AI processing which has a cost. Most people use it far less than 30 times a month.
If you reach your limit, Sera will let you know and invite you to come back when it resets.
You can cancel at any time — no questions asked. Here's how:
- Email hello@moderaristudio.com with your email address and a request to cancel
- We'll cancel your subscription and confirm by email, usually within one working day
- You keep access until the end of your current annual period — you won't be charged again after that
We hold your account data (email, subscription status) for 12 months after cancellation in case you want to reactivate. After that it's deleted.
As a reminder — we never stored the content of your brain dumps, so there's nothing to delete there.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@moderaristudio.com.
